A zombie walk is an organized public gathering of two or more people who dress up in zombie costumes and make up.
Zombie Walks usually take place in an urban center, the participants make their way around the city streets and through shopping malls in a somewhat orderly fashion and often limping and gnawing their way towards a local cemetery or movie theater. Participants are encouraged to remain in character as zombies and to communicate only in a manner consistent with zombies (grunts, groans and slurred moans calling for "brains".)
Children are welcome to zombie walk events unless it is a pub crawl. Please make sure they are kept a good eye on.
It’s just fun!
How much does it cost?
The Jacksonville Zombie Walk is a free event.
What are the rules of the Zombie Walk?
We trust zombies have eaten lots of brains and therefore have common sense. But, we have to point out a few important rules.
How can I make myself look like a Zombie?
Zombie makeup tips will soon be available on our site on the Makeup 101 page. Here you will find links to a number of tutorials and videos for Zombie makeup as well as listings of stores you can purchase makeup from.
Must I come as a Zombie?
All present should be attired in the dress of the undead. We will be donating blood to those in need.
How can I help out with the Zombie Walk?
We currently need help getting the word out about the walk. Tell your friends and print out some of the flyers on the Infect page.
On the day of the walk, we'll need help distributing blood. Email us for more information.
How do I make a donation to The Jacksonville Zombie Walk?
If you have fake limbs, brains, or any other horror oddities you would like to donate for zombie prizes please email me.
The Jacksonville Zombie Walk is a non-profit event. We have a gang of the undead helping out with their time, but we do need money for flyers and posters, as well as keeping the web site running. We may even need a parade permit if it gets much larger! If you want to make a cash donation, click on the button below to do so through PayPal. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
